Dirty Dark PlaceDDP Does Dallas
In collaboration with the Dallas Art Fair's Culture Place, Dirty Dark Place is proud to represent artists Butch Anthony, Andy Don Emmons, Devin Lunsford, Jack Sanders, Julie Speed, and Wayne White.
Dirty Dark Place (DDP) is an errant, artist-run project space dedicated to disrupting the hierarchical and socioeconomic systems that shape access and patronage of contemporary art. We collaborate with Texas-based, contemporary artists to develop programming that challenges the dominant structures and strictures of exhibiting art. DDP is an experiment in community that willfully mismatches place and programming as a means to both incite artists and to provoke new audiences.
In partnership with our publishing imprint, Cattywampus Press, we create and publish original books, goods, and other ephemera that support and document the work of artists who live and work in the American South.
